403(b)

Definition:
A 403(b) plan is a tax deffered retirement savings plan available for employees of public education organizations and some non-profit organizations (US Tax Code 501(c)(3) organizations). The pre-tax money contributed to a 403(b) plan as well as investment earnings grow tax deferred until withdrawal. The features of the plan are similar to a 401(k) plan.
