Definition:
A Quantitative Analyst (Quant Analyst) works in the financial markets developing and designing mathematical models. Quant analysts focus on on mathematical modeling or statistical modeling, but rarely both. The Quant Analyst will develop trading and risk platforms and provide valuations using proprietary pricing models.
