Definition:
Online brokers (Internet brokers) are deep-discount brokers through whom investors can make their investment choices and execute trades electronically online. The investor accesses their brokerage account online to review the confirmation of electronic trades, procedures, commission schedule and the available transactional services. Like a traditional brokerage, an online brokerage also extends margin loans and investment research information.
