Definition:
Valuation is the calculation and estimation of the current maket value of a financial asset (stock), liability (bonds), or business. Many factors are included during the valuation process. For securities, Value is calculated using market value, expected future earnings, similarly prices vehicles, or a pricing model such as Black-Scholes. Business or company valuation includes many indicators of value such as income, assets, liabilities, and intangible assets, among others.
